Bánh giò - A Pyramid Rice Dumpling

This dumpling is dangerously steamy. Here are my thoughts on it from a kid to an adult.

I used to hate this snack. It just was too soft of a texture for me to really care about it. I didnt see the significance of it especially since, banh mi was THAT snack.

But as an adult, I realized with all the ingredients that go into it. How pure and simple this dish is.

For those that don't know... this app's origins is from the North but ask my uncles and aunts at a party and they will argue for hours and not agree on a single location!

It's a rice pyramid dumpling filled with ground meat, any fungus like wood ear mushrooms or shiitake which is what I used. And quail egg because dude , quail egg is a sleeper of an ingredient especially canned! Cause ain't nobody got time for that. We drench it with either nuoc mam , you know the mother sauce or like a sweet thick soy with a spicy sauce.
